Programme Overview

Programme Overview

The course is structured into blocks of study with a minimum of 30 hours per week (25 synchronous teaching hours plus a minimum of 5 hours asynchronous guided study).

Lessons will be taught in-centre at Middlesex Street, Central London – this course is face-to-face delivery only. The course will also be supported for all students with synchronous and asynchronous content on the College VLE. The College uses up-to-date high-quality learning resources with a bespoke supporting interactive online student platform.

Each student will be assigned an experienced member of the teaching staff as a named Personal Tutor and will have a weekly individual tutorial to support learning progress (see Assessment and Progression). There are individual tutorial slots available every day after lessons if needed. A Coaching Service can also be offered by agreement with the Personal Tutor if extra support is required.

A high level of engagement is required to be successful in this course. There are daily online asynchronous coursework study tasks which must be completed by the set deadline. There is also continuous in-class assessment and tracking linked to each week’s learning aims.

If students engage successfully with the teaching and learning content and contribute the required effort to complete coursework and progress tests satisfactorily, they can expect to improve their overall IELTS score by 0.5 bands in 6 weeks and 1.0 bands in 10 weeks.

A certificate with full transcript for all four discrete skills benchmarked to CEFR and IELTS is given on completion of the course
